Inge Prins is an award-winning photographer from Cape Town. She specialises in product, décor and interior architecture photography. With a background in analog photography and early digital retouching, she emphasises technical precision, aiming to capture perfect shots in-camera.
Inge started out shooting all sorts of things; food, fashion, interiors and décor. Although she found herself drawn to the controlled, technical lighting aspects of product , interior and décor shoots. She finds inspiration in nature and the natural world and is very focused on observing daylight, seeing how light works and affects everything. Her Fine Art training has always influenced her way of seeing and working. Inge sees herself as less of a technical photographer and more of a creative, using photographic lighting equipment in unconventional ways. She is inspired by daylight and the emotional response towards lighting.
Known for her creative lighting and attention to detail, Inge works with several global brands. Her editorial clients include Monocle, Wallpaper, WSJ and Forbes. Inge graduated with a BFA, majoring in photography, at Rhodes University and has a solid grounding in technical photography. When not working on client projects, she dedicates her time to personal creative endeavours.
